James Bradfield

James Bradfield retired in 2012. He joined the Hamilton faculty in 1976 after earning his B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Rochester. A lecturer on financial markets, microeconomic theory and mathematical economics, Professor Bradfield is the author of several articles and the texts Introduction to the Economics of Financial Markets (2007) and Mathematical Economics (with Jeffrey Baldani and Robert Turner; first edition 1996). He received the Award for Outstanding Teaching from the Hamilton Chapter of Alpha Delta Phi in 2006, and a year later the Sidney J. Wertimer, Jr. Award for Excellence in Teaching, presented by the Student Assembly. In addition to his teaching, he served two four-year terms as associate dean of students (academic).
